Brief History

AEC’s roots go back to 1978, when Marco Island Engineering was formed by a former Resident Engineer for Deltona - the developer of modern Marco Island. In 1982, Parrott, Ely, and Hurt of Lexington, Kentucky, purchased Marco Island Engineering and the company began doing business in south-west Florida as Anchor Engineering. Since 1991, AEC has been completely locally owned. The Marco branch was incorporated as American Engineering Consultants of Marco Island, Inc. in 2005.
